How much does it cost to attend the Lehigh Valley Night To Shine?

The event is free for everyone

What is the suggested attire for the evening?

Wear whatever you like! The majority of guests will dress formally, but we love you as you are, feel free to come dressed modestly in whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Do I need to purchase a corsage or boutonniere?

No, one will be provided at the event.

What do I do with my coat?

There will be a coat check for you to put your coat, you or your buddy can keep the ticket to pick up the coat later.

Will I be alone all evening?

No. You will be paired with a background checked volunteer buddy. They will accompany you all evening.

What if I know someone who wants to be my buddy?

Please mention their name on your registration. For safety reasons all guest/buddy pairings must be initiated by the guest.

What will my parents do during Night
To Shine?

Parents and caregivers will have two options.

ā— They can drop their guest off for pickup later.
ā— They can register to stay and enjoy the Caregivers Lounge. This is an adult only event. We will not have enough food or refreshments for more than two caregivers to join us. We appreciate your understanding and respect for these limits.

What will happen at Night To Shine?

There will be dinner and dancing. Opportunities for hair and makeup touch ups, to get a shoe shine, take a limo ride, get your photos taken at the photo booth and to sing karaoke. At the end of the evening you will watch a video and get crowned the King or Queen of the Prom! On your way out there will be a gift bag for you to take home with you.

Is there a wheelchair accessible limo?

Unfortunately at this time, we do not have access to a wheelchair accessible limo.

I have food allergies!

If you have a specific dietary need, please note it on the registration form. There will be gluten free food options. Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate all needs. We are unable to feed a guest or puree food.

I need help in the bathroom!

We are unable to help with bathrooming, please register a trusted buddy who can assist with personal care.

I have staff that are required to stay with me, can they attend?

Yes. They will have to register as either a buddy or as a caregiver staying in the Caregiver Lounge.

Can my parents come into the ballroom?

Yes. They are welcome to go into the ballroom to enjoy the event, but we ask that they not linger long as the space is limited and we want everyone to be comfortable navigating the space.

I registered and received a wristband
in the mail, what do I do with it?

Registered guests should wear their wristband as they arrive. It will help us facilitate check in.

Will there be medical staff onsite?

Yes. We have nurses and EMT as well as police officers onsite for the entire prom.

Iā€™m getting overwhelmed, is there somewhere I can get some quiet time?

Yes. There is a sensory room available, your buddy will know where to go.
